Book Launch Party at 57th Street Books Celebrates Best-selling Indie Author K.B. Jensen's New Book
CHICAGO-57th Street Books is hosting best-selling indie author K.B. Jensen for a book signing and reading to celebrate her new book, “A Storm of Stories.” The book launch party will be at 2 p.m. on Sat., May 7 at 1301 E. 57th St, Chicago.
Jensen’s first book, “Painting With Fire,” a best-selling crime novel, has been downloaded more than 67,000 times. Her second book, “A Storm of Stories” is general fiction and handles love, craziness and impossibility. Early readers are calling it “a modern 1,001 Nights,” Jensen says.
“This book is edgy, surreal and takes a lot of risks,” Jensen says. “I’m looking forward to hearing from readers about it. As a Hyde Park author, I’m also really excited to have my book launch party at 57th Street Books, one of my absolute favorite bookstores.”
“A Storm of Stories” is about a woman who hits a hitchhiker with her car during a whiteout storm in rural Wisconsin. The two of them end up stranded in the car telling stories to pass the time as they wait for help. Some of the stories take place in India, Denmark and Canada, as well as Midwestern locales, like Chicago. For more information about the book, visit www.kbjensenauthor.com.
